Sansad Cafeteria

Project Description
A dining app for the Parliament of India, delivered with ITDC. It replaces queues and tokens with a few taps — meals ordered to a room and tracked in real time, while meeting the complex's strict security and access demands.

Problem
Dining inside Parliament ran on queues and tokens — slow, manual, and disconnected. Cafeteria teams had no unified view of orders, menus, or stock, and any solution had to stay secure and bounded to the premises while keeping ordering effortless for users.
- Queues and tokens made ordering slow, manual, and disconnected.
- Cafeteria teams had no unified view of orders, menus, or stock.
- Any solution had to stay secure and bounded to the premises.
Solution
We designed three connected surfaces around one coherent system: an ordering app for diners, an operations panel for cafeteria teams, and a secure, connected layer tying them together.
- Ordering app — a guided flow from menu to checkout, with filters, room delivery, and live status.
- Operations panel — manage orders, weekly menus, stock, and users across cafeterias, with reporting built in.
- Secure, connected layer — QR pickup via POS, NIC offline ordering, and geofencing, surfaced without friction.

The Result
Live since July 2023, Sansad Cafeteria turns queues and tokens into a few taps — order, pick up by QR or get meals to a room, while teams run operations from one connected panel across Android and iOS.
